Thermal oxidizers

In units with thermal oxidizers, undesired gaseous or liquid by-products from technical processes will undergo thermal post-treatment for primarily ecological reasons. Such by-products and pollutants may be toxic or explosive and have differing net calorific values so that the firing system, combustion chamber and waste heat boiler each have to be adapted accordingly.

VKK STANDARDKESSEL supplies waste heat boilers as thermal oxidizers to generate steam or hot water from exhaust gases. On the exhaust gas side, the waste heat systems are, as a rule, equipped with an air preheater, exhaust gas bypass, start-up control valve and, if necessary, also with supplemental firing equipment. The cleaned exhaust gas can then be routed into the atmosphere without further treatment.
