History

In 2001, VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH was founded following the merger of VORWÄRMER- UND KESSELBAU Köthen GmbH and STANDARDKESSEL Lentjes-Fasel GmbH. The company now looks back to many years of experience in the successful design of steam boilers at its Köthen and Duisburg locations.

In the 19th Century, the first boiler was delivered to the aspiring German sugar and textile industries. After 1945, both companies had a strong influence on the development of industrial steam generator construction in a divided Germany where each of them was the market leader and renowned for high-quality boiler plant design all over the world.

From its Duisburg location, STANDARD CONDORBOILER has conquered the European and overseas markets since 1951. The Köthener water-tube boiler KWK was found in almost any cogenerating station of East German utilities. In the 90's, the companies started cooperation on the Eastern and Western markets which had been separated up to that time.

Today, VKK STANDARDKESSEL Köthen GmbH is a medium-sized boiler and plant construction company which has combined and is continuing boiler production in Köthen and Duisburg successfully.
