	Wood and plant wastes are regenerative fuels which release the stored solar energy during combustion with low emissions and an almost equalized carbon dioxide balance. The energy utilization of wood and other biomass fuel is, therefore, supported in Germany by law.


	VKK STANDARDKESSEL supplies waste heat systems to generate steam, heat and electricity from wood, e.g. for use in the wood-working industry as well as for waste removal enterprises and public utilities. Especially in such enterprises thermal utilization of wood waste is increasingly being used as an alternative to energy supplied from a third source.
