The thermal use of wood and biomass is well-suited for auxiliary power supply in the wood industry or in heat supply and power generation with simultaneous disposal of biomass. The available combustibles are mature timber, wood residues from industrial production, slabs, chips (Figure 1), forest residues, fruit shells (e,g rice shells), or other renewable resources. The energy recovered from such combustibles saves the use of fossil fuels and contributes to the reduction of environmental pollution due to its CO2 neutral combustion.
